Entries are owned by the person who first created the entry. Additionally, entries belong to a group (See "Create project groups"). You can transfer the ownership of one or more entries from yourself to a collaborator and/ or group. The owner of an entry is shown in the "Owned by" column in the Dataset window (see "View entry's information"), and the group in the "Group" column.
Go to the Dataset window and click the dot menu in the upper right corner. Choose "Transfer ownership".
A list of all the entries you own in the dataset is shown. Check off the ones you want to transfer. Click "Continue".
Your chosen entries are shown in a list. Review if this is correct and click "Continue".
You now have three options
Change Group (Keep current ownership). When you are part of several collaborator groups, you can change which group this entry belongs to. Note that only the groups you are part of will be visible in the "New group" dropdown menu.
Change ownership and group. The ownership will be transferred to a collaborator and a different group. Select the collaborator you want to transfer the ownership to under the "New owner" dropdown menu. Select the group the ownership should be transferred under "New group". Note that only the group(s) the new owner is part of will be visible.
Change ownership (Keep current groups). The ownership of the entry will be transferred to a new collaborator, but the group will not change (even if the new owner is not a part of this group). Select the appropriate collaborator from the "New owner" dropdown menu.
Click "Continue"
Check that you have selected the correct setup and type “TRANSFER_OWNERSHIP” in the entry field.
