Welcome to Ledidi Core! We hope you will find Ledidi Core a powerful tool for collecting, managing, and analysing your data. We believe in teamwork, which is why one of our main priorities has been to simplify and improve how you collaborate with colleagues. This quick guide will help you get familiar with the different functionality in Ledidi Core.
In Ledidi Core, you will work in seven separate windows:
1. The dashboard
When you log in to Core, you are taken to your dashboard. The dashboard gives you an overview of all projects, both projects you have created yourself (“My Projects”), projects you collaborate on (“Shared With Me”) and invitations to join a project ("Invitations"). From your dashboard, you can create new projects, enter your projects, and view and edit information about the projects.
If you are a new user, you will see one project already waiting for you. This is a dataset you can use to test different functionalities in Core. If you were introduced to Core through a project collaboration, the project you are invited to participate in will also be visible on your dashboard.
2. Dataset
When you enter a project, your project's database is shown, i.e., your table of data entries. You can search for entries and sort or filter your dataset according to your criteria.
The 'Settings wheel' allows you to choose which variables you want to display in the dataset window.
The "Show Filters" toggle button allows you to filter your dataset on any variable(s) in the dataset.
The “New entry” button will take you to the entry form, where you can add new entries to your dataset. Entries may also be imported from existing datasets, i.e., an Excel file.
3. Project Design
This is where you design your study or registry (database set-up) and work with the different variables in a dataset. You can create, define, arrange, and sort your variables from here. You can arrange variables into groups. Variable set-ups can be made from scratch or created based on templates from other projects. You may also design your own custom entry forms and create statuses and dependencies between variables. Variables can be added and edited at any time during a project.
4. Analysis
In this window, you can analyse your data with a rich set of analytic functions. The results are displayed with suitable graphic presentations. You can export figures and tables for use in presentations and publications. You can also filter your database to perform analyses on subgroups in your data material.
5. Documents
This space allows you to upload, store, and view documents and files relevant to your project.
6. Collaborators
From this window, you can view the collaborators in your project, add new collaborators, and set permissions for which part of the dataset a collaborator can view, edit, and analyse.
7. Roles
In this window, you define roles with customised permissions that can be assigned to your collaborators.
User profile
Your user profile can be accessed from any data window in Ledidi Core by clicking on the profile icon (the circle with your initials or photo) in the upper right corner. Here, you can view and edit the information registered on you (i.e., email, name, and organisational belonging) and manage your Ledidi Core subscription.
