By default, all permissions assigned to a status (view, edit, and set status) are turned off for your collaborators.
To set status-based permissions for your collaborators, go to the collaborator page:
Choose the collaborator you want to assign permissions to
Click "Permissions"
Permissions to view, edit and analyse data can be set under "General". These settings are the base of the Statuses settings. Thus, you need to grant permissions to the relevant entries to allow the Statuses settings to be functional
Under "Statuses", permissions to entries with and without statuses can be set. For each status, you can choose to grant access to view, edit, and set status
Permissions on the status level are a way to control access to data on top of permissions on the general level. This implies that the status permissions will ultimately define what a collaborator is allowed to see and do with the project data.
For example: If you have full access on the general level (i.e. allowed to view, edit and analyse your own, group, and all data), but only have access to view and edit data with a specific status, only the entries with this status will be available for you in the dataset window.
Important: If a collaborator has permission to set a certain status, they can set this status to any entry available to them! (Also, to an entry, they only have viewing access to). If you want to "lock" an entry (i.e. make it unavailable for a collaborator), choose a status for this entry to which the collaborator has no rights.
When copying a project, you can choose to also copy the status permissions for the project owner.
